First founded in 1976, this gallery focuses mainly on sculpture, painting, graphic and object art. Albert Baumgarten represents the classical role of the directly accessible mediator both in the art gallery and at art fairs like the ART Cologne and the ART Frankfurt.  Take tram line number 1 from the city centre to the gallery.

The Kunstverein Freiburg (Freiburg Art Society), founded in 1827, attracts attention well outside the region with its emphasis on the latest trends in contemporary art.  It also deals with questions regarding conditions and procurement.
