No other valley in Southern Baden combines the contrasting elements of the peaks of the Black-Forest, its rocks and ravines, with the charm and beautiful blossoms of the orchards and vineyards in the Breisgau Region as the Glotter valley does.

The varied countryside offers a wide range of hiking trails. If you simply want to take a stroll, you can delight in the waters of the river Glotter or enjoy the countryside from the flat vineyard trail higher up the valley.

For more the ambitious, experienced hiker, there is a tour of the 1.243 metre-high Kandel.  There are also some less strenuous circular hiking tours around the vineyards, through shady woodland trails where you can discover and enjoy nature in a relaxed way.
