The Feldberg is the highest mountain in the Black Forest with an altitude of 1493 metres.
Visitors can reach the top of the mountain either on foot or by taking the easy way up with the 900-metre long Feldberg cable car.
Feldberg is also the largest and oldest nature reserve in Germany, home to rare animal breeds (chamois, capercaillie) and sub-alpine plants (carline thistle, arnica).
